Blog Rules
To have a blog you must be a Paid Member. That's it. No other requirement. So if you are a paid member and want a JAD blog just let a mod or admin know and we'll start one for you.
Here in your own little topic you may post anything your heart desires. Basically whatever you'd like to ramble about, you may do so. And unlike MySpace and Facebook it's private. No one will see it. Well except for other paid members, but hey, you trust your JAD family don't you?
Once you have your blog it won't be deleted as long as you are a paid member. Say you wander off for a month or two. When you get ready to come home to the Forums your blog will be waiting for you. If you wish to have us lock your blog and start a new one for you that's fine but locked blogs will be deleted after two months.
There's no way to prevent someone else from posting to your blog. You won't have the ability to block another's posting nor delete it. If that does happen just let a moderator know and it will be deleted.
That means please don't post in someone else's blog. If you have something you want to say about someone's posting, use the Blog Discussion topic to say it. If you do happen to post in someone's blog by accident, yeah, it happens, just let a moderator know and we'll make it go away.
Once in a while you may see a blog post that's so interesting you want to start a topic in General Bullshit about it. The main concern about doing so would be privacy. Guests and non paying members cannot read the Blogs so Bloggers feel more free to speak their mind when it's just "family" reading.
If it's not your blog, common courtesy dictates that you ask the blog owner if it's OK to use their personal posting as the genesis of a topic that everyone can read. Blog owners can do one of three things:
* Refuse permission.
* Allow the topic to be started masking any personal information the blog owner wants masked.
* Allow the topic to be started without masking any personal information.
Happy Blogging
